GETTING HERE

• BY AIR •

Flying directly to Nantucket is the fastest, most convenient option. It is worth noting that “The Grey Lady" is notorious for its unpredictable and quick-changing weather patterns. Flights can be impacted by things like wind and fog, but the airlines always work hard to get you there!

Please book your flights as early as possible as prices can skyrocket during the summer months. Most of the airlines servicing Nantucket will post flights 8-10 months in advance.

The most reliable way to get on island is to take one of the ferries that leaves from Hyannis or New Bedford.

We recommend booking roundtrip ferry tickets in Jan-March 2027, as they can sell out.

From Hyannis
Both the Hy-line and Steamship Authority ferries depart regularly from Hyannis to Nantucket Harbor. You may choose to take the fast ferry (1 hour and recommended) or the traditional (vehicle/freight) ferry (2.5 hours).

While it is absolutely not necessary, if you do plan to bring a vehicle over, you must book that reservation well in advance.
